IN-BEE final workshop
On March 28th, the IN-BEE partners gathered in Brussels for the final workshop of the project. The event has been kindly hosted by the Abruzzo Region Brussels’ Office.
The conference started in the afternoon with a brief welcome by the technical manager Daniele Benintendi (University of Piemonte Orientale) followed by an intervention of Project Manager Christian Violi (Novareckon), who introduced the work done during the past two years before giving the floor to the panelists. Hence, interesting presentation have been delivered by Fernando Garcia from Deloitte Spain, who explained the trends on energy efficiency and successful policy guidelines. The next panelist was Tina Fawcett from Oxford University, who presented the different perspectives on the multiple benefits of energy efficiency, the stakeholder views on multiple benefits, the development of new multiple benefits methodologies, the existance of frameworks and tools and finally the integration of multiple benefits into decision‐making..
After that, the discussion turned on its empirical side, with presentations on the case studies of IN-BEE by Morgane Fritz from the University of Graz (AT) and Mia Ala-Juusela from VTT, Technical Research Centre of Finland.
The panel has been closed by the guest speaker Roland Jöbstl from the European Environmental Buro, who delivered a brilliant presentation giving NGOs perspectives on the multiple benefits of energy efficiency.
The end has been marked with a Q&A session, chaired by Gavin Killip (Oxford University), and an open discussion between panelists and participants, followed by a networking dinner served at the venue of the event.
